First, decide with the patient whether you’ll be performing a pelvic exam. If you’re prescribing via telehealth or you’re not performing a pelvic exam, skip ahead to the next section.
Prescribing Yōni.Fit
Determining the Right Size: Performing the Pelvic Exam
Print the chart below before you start. You’ll need to use it to find the right Fit Kit to prescribe.
Then, watch the video and follow the instructions to determine the mid-vaginal width. Once you have the mid-vaginal width you’ll be able to determine the right Fit Kit to prescribe.
(make sure to use 8.5×11 paper) and place two fingers on the measurement area to determine the correct size. Discard after use.
1. Measure the mid-vaginal width using two fingers.
2. The diameter should be based from your measurement of the mid-vagina. The goal is to measure the widest point where the top of the YōniFit will sit and put gentle pressure on the urethra.
There are two ways to perform the measurement, either:
A. Horizonal width measurement: Place two fingers in the vagina and estimate the width of the vagina halfway between the urethra and cervix.
B. Vertical measurement vertical length measurement: Place two fingers in the vagina at the level of the posterior fornix and estimate the length between the pubic notch and the posterior fornix.
Place your fingers on the printed chart. Your fingers will align with the appropriate Fit Kit.
No Pelvic Exam, No Problem
If you’re not performing a pelvic exam or you’re prescribing via telehealth, we offer two self-fitting kits.
Fit Kit 4 contains the three smallest sizes of Yōni.Fit, which fit most women. Start with prescribing Fit Kit 4.
If for any reason your patient is finding it difficult to find a comfortable, effective fit with the sizes in Fit Kit 4, you can prescribe Fit Kit 5, which contains the next three sizes.
